London crime: 2 teens fighting for life after separate stabbings

Two teenage boys were rushed to hospital yesterday in two separate stabbings. One attack took place in Brixton, the other in Newham.

The victim in Brixton, who is currently in a critical condition, is only 16 years old. The victim in Newham is 19 years of age. No arrests so far.

Update: As of 7.20am on Wednesday, February 24 the Brixton victim is still in a critical condition, the Newham victim’s injuries were found to be non-life threatening.

Two teenage boys were rushed to hospital on Tuesday (February 23) night after two separate stabbing incidents.

Both are in life-threatening conditions, and no arrests have yet been made.

The first attack took place in Brixton at around 6.15pm, the second in Newham at 6.55pm.

Police were first called to Henry Road, near the Myatts Field North Estate in Brixton, where they found a 16-year-old boy.

The victim was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, and a crime scene was set up.

A Section 60, which temporarily gives police extra stop and search powers was authorised for the areas between Brixton Road, Camberwell New Road, Denmark Hill and Coldharbour Lane, and ended on 6.45am on Wednesday.
