UPDATE: Teenager arrested for attempted murder after boy, 16, stabbed in stomach in Walsall

Update on the posted two days ago, an 18-year-old has been arrested after a teenager was stabbed in Walsall.

The victim, a 16-year-old boy, was knifed in the stomach on Caldmore Road, Caldmore, at around 3.30pm on Wednesday afternoon (February 24).

He was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

West Midlands Police officers have now arrested an 18-year-old from Walsall on suspicion of attempted murder. He is currently in custody.

A spokesman for the force said: “We continue to examine CCTV and are conducting other enquiries to understand what happened.

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything.”
