One person dead and three more stabbed in weekend of violence on capital’s streets

Three people have been stabbed within eight hours of each other in London.

A 17-year-old boy was firstly stabbed in broad daylight in South Hampstead on Sunday afternoon.

Later that evening a man was stabbed in Greenford, before a 19-year-old was stabbed less than an hour later in Kilburn.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 1.39pm on Sunday February 28 to Rowley Way after a 17-year-old male was found with stab injuries.

His condition isn’t believed to be life-threatening.

In a second attack, police were called by LAS at around 8.49pm after a man was found with stab injuries in Jeymer Drive, Greenford.

He has been taken to hospital; we await an assessment of his condition.

The Met Police were then called to a third stabbing at 9.51pm to Kilburn High Road.

His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made in connection to either stabbing.

First stabbing – full police lines

Police were called to the South Hampstead area just after 1.30pm yesterday.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called by LAS at 13:39hrs on Sunday, 28 February to Rowley Way NW8 after a 17-year-old male was found with stab injuries.

“He was taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

“At this stage there have been no arrests; enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

“A crime scene was in place but has since been closed.

“The Central North Command Unit are investigating.

“Anyone who has information that could assist police is asked to call 101 ref CAD 3800/28 Feb. “

Second stabbing – full police lines

A second attack happened in Greenford, Ealing.

A police spokesperson said: “Police were called by LAS at around 20:49hrs after a man was found with stab injuries in Jeymer Drive, Greenford.

“He has been taken to hospital; we await an assessment of his condition.

Third stabbing- full police lines

A third stabbing took place on Kilburn High Road.

A police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 21:51hrs on Sunday, 28 February to Kilburn High Road NW6 to reports of a stabbing.

“Officers found a 19-year-old man with stab injuries.

“He was taken to hospital; his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

“No arrests at this early stage.

“A crime scene is in place and enquiries continue.”
