Boy, 12, arrested as man rushed to hospital after ‘serious’ stabbing in Ilford

A 12-year-old boy has been arrested after a man was stabbed in East London on Thursday, March 11.

Police were called at 3.54 pm to reports of an assault on Marlands Road, Clayhall in Ilford.

Officers attended the scene and found a 20-year-old man suffering from a stab wound.

An ambulance crew was sent, as was two medics in cars and an incident response officer.

The road was cordoned off with police and ambulance teams at the scene.

He was taken by the London Ambulance service to major trauma centre ‘as a priority’.

He remains there in a serious but stable condition.

A 12-year-old boy was arrested nearby in connection with the assault.

He remains in custody at an East London police station.

A knife was also recovered at the scene.
