A teenage boy has been stabbed in East London.

Police were called to Hulse Avenue at 3.44pm on Friday, March 12 in Barking.

At the scene, officers found a boy, believed to be aged in his mid-teens, suffering from stab injuries.

He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to an East London hospital for treatment.

Footage shared on social media shows the large cordon in place, stretching to Longbridge Road. At least two police cars, an ambulance and air ambulance attended.

We await an update on his condition.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We were called at 3.44pm today (12 March) to reports of a stabbing on Hulse Avenue, Barking.

“We sent an ambulance crew, three medics in cars, a clinical team manager and an incident response officer.

“A teenager was treated at the scene and taken to a major trauma centre.”
