Whilst we over at the Liverpool Echo here is another story of a “man who had images of girls as young as five being raped in his twisted library.”
Anyone in the U.K. have a problem with this? Anyone? Or are we going to sit there and wait to get angry when our football team full of rich millionaires loses to another team?
Also note that a Czech interpreter was needed, something which you are paying for too – imagine that.
A paedophile who secretly downloaded more than 8,000 child abuse images walked free from court.
The 45-year-old’s sickening collection also featured boys being molested and disturbing animal abuse files.
But the pervert was spared jail after a short hearing in which no mitigation or explanation for the sentencing decision was heard in open court.
Chudoba appeared in the dock at Liverpool Crown Court this afternoon.
The Czech national was assisted by a Czech interpreter, appearing over a CVP video link system, to translate for him.
Judge Stuart Driver, QC, said counsel would have to summarise the case in as few words as possible for the interpreter.
Jo Maxwell, prosecuting, said Chudoba had indicated likely guilty pleas when he appeared before magistrates on January 19.
She said police obtained a warrant and raided Chudoba’s home in King Edward Street, Warrington on July 7 last year, when they seized “a number of devices”.
Chudoba admitted downloading 600 Category A, 430 Category B and 7,100 Category C indecent images of children.
He pleaded guilty to possessing 8,130 child abuse photos in total, along with a further 30 extreme pornography files.
According to the charges, all of the illegal images were downloaded between January 1, 2018 and July 9, 2020.
Ms Maxwell said: “The evidence showed the defendant had searched for child abuse on the internet.
“The images were of predominantly female children aged between five and 16 years, but there were images of Category B and C of boys.
“Some of the specific images have been summarised for your honour on the computer system.”
The prosecutor added: “The defendant has no previous convictions in this country, but there is a previous conviction for an offence of theft in the Czech Republic in 2005.”
She said sentencing guidelines suggested a starting point for these offences of 12 months in custody, with a sentencing range between 26 weeks to three years.
Ms Maxwell also asked for the forfeiture and destruction of the devices and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) to be made against Chudoba.
No mitigation on behalf of Chudoba was heard in open court.
Judge Driver said: “I intend to pass a suspended sentence with 40 days Rehabilitation Activity.”
Jeremy Rawson, defending, said: “That would have been my submission, your honour.”
The judge told Chudoba to stand and said: “The sentence is eight months’ imprisonment on each count concurrently, suspended for 18 months, with 40 days Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.
“That means you must commit no offences and do what your probation officer tells you for 18 months.
“If you fail you will be brought back to court and I will send you to prison.”
Judge Driver ordered Chudoba to comply with a SHPO for 10 years.
He said: “You must read that and understand and obey it. If you disobey it you will commit an offence and may go to prison.”
The judge said the paedophile must also sign on the Sex Offenders Register for a decade.
He then ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the devices.
Mr Rawson said: “The Sexual Harm Prevention Order has already been translated for him.”
Judge Driver added: “For the record, that was a sentence of 12 months, reduced by one third for the early indication of guilty plea.”
