Boy, 15, left in serious condition after being stabbed by boy, 14, in Thurrock park

Happened in Thurrock-Essex, it seems these stabbings are happening once a week at least with the suspects as young as teenagers, insane.

Essex Police have launched an investigation in Grays after a teenage boy was stabbed near a popular playing fields.

At around 5.15pm yesterday (Monday, March 15), a 15-year-old boy was left in a serious condition after a stabbing in the King George’s Field, known locally as Blackshots Field, near Jesmond Road, Grays, Essex.

Police descended on the park, arresting a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm.

He remains in custody for questioning.

The fields encompass the Blackshots Athletics Stadium, and is used by the Thurrock Rugby Football Club.

Police say that they are treating the stabbing as a targeted attack, and say that there is no wider risk to the public.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We’d like to thank members of the public who have helped with our enquiries so far and would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened, or lives in the area near where the attack took place and has CCTV, or doorbell camera footage.
