East London – 54-year-old rushed to hospital after being stabbed in broad daylight

Just another stabbing to report, this time it happened in broad daylight near a popular East London park. Victim was found with stab injuries and was rushed to hospital but the victim has fully recovered since. A 37 year old was arrested at the scene.

London Ambulance Service was also in attendance and an air ambulance was dispatched to the scene, spotted landing in London Fields park itself.

A local who was in the area when it happened sadly commented: “All while parks and streets full of school kids…”

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “Police were called to Marlborough Avenue, Hackney, at 4.38pm on Monday following reports of an assault.

“Officers attended with London Ambulance Service paramedics. They found a man, believed to be aged 54, who had been stabbed.

“He has been taken to an east London hospital and we await an update on his condition.

“A 37-year-old man was arrested at the scene.”
